An Unhealthy Obsession

Since I seem to have developed an addiction to reading other peoples' blogs here, I figure I might as well start my own, if only to give me something to do when there are no other new blog posts to read.

As far as actually playing TDS, there are a lot of flaws in my game:

-I still haven't gotten the hang of T-spins... Or in other words, I have almost no clue how to set them up).
-I misdrop way more frequently than I should. About half the time I blame my own cluminess, and the other half the d-pad on my lite, which isn't what it used to be.
-I sometimes forget to pay attention to the next piece(s) window, which slows me down until I realize that I should be planning ahead
-I often forget to look at my opponent's screen, and sometimes miss my chance to put pressure on and finish him/her off. Either that or the opposite -- I'll notice my opponent has misdropped, and become lax, thus allowing him/her to make a comeback.
-(In 4 player) I sometimes forget to keep my stack low at the beginning, and get knocked off early.
-I have a hard time deciding when to use stars.

Taking all that into account, I can't help but feel self-conscious, and that I'm weaker than my rating suggests. I started playing on wifi again recently after taking a month or so break, and it seems to me like the ratings have been inflated somewhat (maybe due to all the cheaters everyone's always talking about), because these days I find myself matched up against opponents with 7000+ ratings that don't seem to be anywhere near as good as many 6500+ opponents that I was playing against a couple of months ago.
